RSPCA Queensland

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Queensland Inc. (RSPCA) is the state's leading animal welfare authority. It is also the oldest animal welfare authority in Queensland. The Society is a non-government, registered animal welfare charity and is only one of three organisations within Queensland that can enforce the 2001 Animal Care and Protection Act.

Throughout Queensland, the RSPCA desperately needs your time and talents to help injured, abused, and abandoned animals. Volunteer positions are varied so check out the general positions listed on the RSPCA website.

From the 16 role categories, from assisting vets during procedures to photography to answering phones, you're sure to find something that interests you. Volunteers play a central role in all services that the RSPCA provides to both the animals in its care and to the community, by donating their precious time, energy, and skills to help to advance the work of the RSPCA.

With approximately 2000 regular Volunteers and only approximately 180 paid staff members, Volunteers are the backbone and the life blood of the Society. RSPCA Queensland could simply not operate without the help of theirrr generous and valued Volunteer Team Members.

Photographers
We require photographers to form part of a small team that takes photographs of adoption animals to post on online adoption sites and to take photos of incoming lost animals for identification purposes. Photographers also assist with special projects like posters to help long term animals get a home, or photographing specific events.
