Harden Up Plan

For less than $20 (hardware store) buy a 25lt round plastic drum with a water tight seal screw top. Place all your important papers – paper will bend to fit through the opening – and the certified copies that your family and friends have sent you to keep for them (as they have for you), discs etc. If you are staying home, place the drum in a wardrobe – yes it will be destroyed in a fire, however, it will float in a wardrobe and survive a flood or cyclone – hopefully. Take High Resolution Digital Photos of Paintings – transfer to disc – send copy of disc to family for safe keeping. You will lose them in a fire, but at least you can have good sized prints made/framed and hung.
