Real Life Tips About Building Resilience
Evacuation bags – never buy anything new; always check out second hand/op shops (Lifeline, Salvation Army, Guide Dogs etc) first. Don’t give up; new stock arrives daily at some. Overnight bags ($3 - $4 at op shop) one bag per person. Pack your best clothes; there is no excuse for dropping one’s standards. A toilet bag each with soap, toothbrush, toothpaste in containers, deodorant, razors etc. A plastic fishing tackle box or small plastic tool box (remove that annoying space taking shelf thing) makes an ideal evacuation box for first-aid or for kitchen utensils. Write a detailed/exact list of what you need in your kitchen utensils box/ store the list in the box and refer to it - believe me you will only forget a ‘can opener’ once.
