Harden Up Plan

Every time you buy groceries, purchase one item for the emergency bag, only buy ‘Best Before’ not ‘Use By’. Unopened ‘Best Before’ dry food will last years, well past the ‘Best Before’ date. Yes some of the packet’s contents may solidify and require scraping or crumbling and may lose some of its flavour, but it won’t kill you.
