The Year of Contrasts - 2012
Last year in Australia we broke numerous weather records. Some people have described it as a year of extremes. The Bureau of Meteorlogy has dubbed it the 'Year of Contrasts'. In this short video, they explain the weather we experienced in Australia last year and as you will see the weather was behaving differently all over the country. Will this year be anything like it?

Tornado - Australia's newest weather event
The mention of tornados usually conjures up images of Dorothy and Toto, and Tornado Alley in America. Since this past summer, perhaps our images of tornados will have more local flavour to them.
