Moderate to heavy

affected the North Tropical Coast and Central Coast catchments from the 19th onwards. This resulted in major levels in the lower reaches of the Haughton and Herbert catchments, including the Giru and Halfiax. Major levels were recorded along the Mulgrave River around the same time and again a week later as further heavy affected the North Tropical Coast. Moderate levels were recorded in the Don catchment, with minor levels affecting the Barron River.
