The fire produced large amounts of smoke in the area, including Innes Park, Burrum Heads and Maryborough, and residents with asthma or lung conditions were asked to stay indoors. Motorists travelling in the area were urged to drive to conditions. The fire, which was approximately 50 hectares in size, did not threatening any property.
