This rainfall caused major flooding across the coastal basins of the Haughton River, Burdekin River, and the Don River. Rainfall from the low pressure system extended further southward to the Fitzroy River where 24-hour rainfalls of between 50mm to 150mm were recorded, resulting in major flooding that peaked at Rockhampton a week later on the 25th of February.
