East Coast Low (2009-02-13)

A low over southern inland Queensland developed a secondary centre on the coast near Rockhampton on 13 February.

By 14 February the coastal low was near Cape Moreton and moved past the Gold Coast that night before intensifying and moving out to sea off the Northern NSW coast.

Significant wave heights reached 4 metres on the Brisbane Buoy.

This event is classified as an East Coast Low.
