From 13th to 18th heavy rain in south-east districts produced 250mm totals with some totals up to 500mm. Local flooding and traffic disabilities were reported in the Mary and Brisbane rivers as well as the shorter Moreton streams. The Stanley River at Peachester reported peak flows as did the Brisbane River at Murrumba and Wivenhoe Bridge. In the Mary River catchment, water entered low lying parts of Gympie when the peak was recorded at midnight on 17th, and both Gympie and Kenilworth were isolated for a few days.
