Roof damage and large trees were blown down at Moorooka, Auchenflower, and Bardon. Southport. Southerly gale Saturday night 29th Electric light poles were blown down, trees uprooted, gardens damaged, and awnings and old buildings. also suffered. The ocean breached the Spit near where the Southport Yacht club stands today at Currumbin.

The sea encroached into the business premises along the beach front and the main South Road was washed away. Tugun. Houses unroofed and a building was blown off its stumps and wrecked. Bilinga. The railway station building at Bilinga wrecked. Coolangatta/Tweed Heads. Roof damage; large seas and storm surge mouth of the Tweed River. Inland from Tweed at Terranora, Bilambil, and Piggabeen crops were badly damaged and a farm house demolished and other buildings damaged.

Cleveland .The Cleveland Hotel was considerably damaged. Deluge at Manly. From Saturday night until Sunday morning 10.32 inches of rain fell at that resort. On the main road there was 3ft. of water. The wind blew away a veranda and telegraph wires were carried away.

This event is classified as an East Coast Low.
